Born and raised in Indiana, my interest in photography was ignited at a young age as an avocation while I pursued two careers, first as a firefighter then in higher education where I completed my career as a vice president of one of the largest community colleges in North Carolina. My wife Debra and I moved to the Carolinas in 2018 so we could be closer to four of our grandchildren. Since arriving in the Carolinas, I’ve taken advantage of the opportunity to visually document the natural beauty of this region from the Blue Ridge and Southern Appalachians to the Coast.
